These are some of the most frequently asked questions we hear from potential Personal Injury clients:
We take injury and death cases on a contingency fee basis. This means that if there is no monetary recovery, you owe us nothing for our services.
If the payment of case expenses is beyond the capacity of the client, The Law Firm will advance the money necessary to pay the ongoing out of pocket expenses of the case and we will be paid back by you when there is a recovery.
We look at many cases and unfortunately, we are not able to help all of the people who ask for and need our help. We look at each case individually and if we believe that we can be of service to you, we will take the case. Sometimes, if we are unable to help you, we know of other lawyers who can help, and we will refer you to them.
The value of each case is different and must be evaluated separately. We take a great deal of time to come to a proper evaluation of your case. Phil Bastian has been evaluating cases and representing people in injury situations for decades. However, you also need to understand that there is never a guarantee of any recovery.
We have many people at any given time working on your case. In addition to attorney, David Duce, and his legal assistants, there may also be other lawyers, investigators, law clerks, and other experts, all working on your case. Some of these people you will never see or have contact with. But we are all working to bring your case to a successful conclusion.
Yes, no case is ever settled without your expressed consent. Whenever settlement negotiations are initiated by either party you will be informed, and it is only with your full participation and consent that your case will be settled.
